An exceptional skiing area and wonderful hiking tracks,

The ski area of La Clusaz stretches over 5 connected mountains, each with its own identity: the massif of Beauregard, Manigod, Etale, Aiguille and Balme. Culminating at 2600 meters, it offers an exceptional height difference of 1500 meters! Several slopes offer more than 1000 meters of height difference. La Clusaz is an ideal winter sport resort for both beginners and professionals. Many well world known champions have trained there. Andre Maszewski, Edgar Grospiron, Régine Cavagnoud, Catherine Lombard, Xavier Bertoni are names eternally associated with the Aravis Mountains – some of them still live there! You may meet there on the slopes if you go to ski to La Clusaz.

La Clusaz has 85 tracks, for all levels, including 8 black tracks, 30 red tracks, 31 blue tracks and 16 green tracks. With nearly 50 ski lifts, the resort is equipped to accommodate a significant number of tourists. Slopes extend over 125 kilometers, but if you take the Massif des Aravis ski pass, which connects La Clusaz to Grand Bornand, there are more than 200 kilometers of tracks available to you!

The tracks are quite wide going though beautiful forests, but some are also narrower and steeper, as in the massifs of Etale and Balme. In order to find your favorite area, you can start from at the beginning of your holiday in La Clusaz with the famous Tour du Bélier, which will make you discover the 5 massifs. Beauregard makes the link between La Clusaz and Manigod, which is more family orientated (blue tracks mainly); the Etale mountain is well exposed to sun so it is the first place where it melts at the end of the season. The Aiguille allows a smooth transition to Balme, exposed North, with its steeper descents, the most sporty for the end! Don’t miss the La Clusaz snowpark, which offers separate slopes for expert and beginner snowboarders.
