Tourism in La Clusaz, in the Aravis Mountains.

La Clusaz is at first a renowned winter sports resort, where professionals and beginners like to come every winter to enjoy no less than 125 kilometres of slopes (210 for the Aravis ski area). Culminating at 2600 meters of altitude, they offer an exceptional height difference of 1500 meters. An ideal playground for skiers and other snow enthusiasts. Nordic skiing, cross-country skiing, hiking, freestyle, snowboarding… and even pony-sledding for the little ones: you will have fun! La Clusaz offers many ski lessons, for all levels. For more information, you can visit the website of the tourist office. Several fun areas as well as a snowpark will allow you to initiate yourself safely. You can also climb a paret, a typical Aravis toboggan, and take part to the nocturnes sessions offered every week between January and April.

La Clusaz is also a natural site of exceptional beauty, which wakes up in the spring with the melting of the snow. Its extremely varied landscapes are a treat for hikers and contemplatives. The forest of the Beauregard plateau, the waters of the Lake des Confins, in which the mountains reflect, the rich and diverse fauna of the Aravis reserve, with its view to the Mont Blanc: so many jewels to discover with family or friends. Heritage lovers will be happy to discover the small pasture hamlets, the chapels of the region, not to mention the Sainte-Foy church.

La Clusaz has a precious and tasty gastronomic heritage. About twenty farms produce the famous Reblochon, local "treasure" declined in all forms, even in cookies! To organize your ski holiday in La Clusaz, see our section "Practical information"!
